ဆင္းရဲကာသာ၊ ကာလၾကာလွ်င္
ယာစကာမ်ိဳး၊ တညႇိဳးညႇိဳးႏွင့္
ပုထိုးျမင့္ေမာင္း၊ ေက်ာင္းႀကိဳေက်ာင္းၾကား
လွည့္လည္သြားလ်က္
မစားေလရ၊ ၀မ္း၀၍
ဆြမ္းမွ်မတင္ႏိုင္ ရွိမည္တည္း။

ျမင္သာျမင္ရ၊ မစားရ၍
ေတာကၿပိတၱာ ျဖစ္မည္တည္း။

အားမေပ်ာ့ႏွင့္၊ မေလွ်ာ့လံု႔လ
သူကစ၍၊ ငါကအားလံုး

စြမ္းေဆာင္ၾကေလ၊ ေဆာင္ၾကေလေလာ့
ဤေျမ ဤရြာ၊ ဘယ္သူ႔ရြာလဲ
ဤယာစပါး၊ ဘယ္သူ႔စပါးလဲ
ထားေလာ့တာ၀န္၊ ပြန္ေလာ့လုပ္ငန္း
ဉာဏ္ေရွ႕ပန္း၍
တစ္၀မ္းတစ္စိတ္ ညီေစသတည္း။

Rise up Myanmar! Oh, Countrymen!
In our land, in our village,
many a stupa - many a paddy.
Though aplenty we can't offer
a meal to our Lord Buddha
as we are stricken by poverty
and become downtrodden.
Loitering around old monasteries,
high stupas and our bellies
ever empty. And we have endured this
for a long... long... period.

Rise up Myanmar! Oh, Countrymen!
In our land, in our village,
many a stream - many a lake, sweet water,
abundant in fruit, abundant in crop,
yet we are burnt by hunger
like a starving demon.
And we have endured this
for a long... long... period.

Rise up Myanmar! Oh, Myanmar rise!
Do not soften, drop not effort.
You, he, she and I, with might and main
using all brains let's achieve, we must achieve!
Whose land is this? Whose village is this?
Whose crop is this?
Take up duty, complete the task with reason to lead
and be united as one.
